National Therapeutic Recreation Week has been celebrated during the second week of July since 1984 and is intended to raise awareness of therapeutic recreation programs and services that aim to improve the health and well-being of individuals with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities. Ji8¸£ÀûÊÓƵ, Inc. (BHN) has launched a Mobile Methadone Program to help those struggling with opioid use disorder. The program is the first of its kind in Western Massachusetts, providing access to methadone from a 35-foot mobile treatment unit.
